Currencies

With LiveCart you can localize your e-store and provide the product and shipping pricing in visitor's home currency. That is, you can set multiple currencies and allow users to switch between currencies to view the prices of products and conclude payments in the currency they prefer. To do that, you have to define which currencies your store will support.

Add currency

To add a new currency:

  1. Click the "Add currency" link.
  2. Select a currency from the list and click the "Add Currency" button.

Enable or disable currencies

Top

All the currencies are disabled by default. To enable a currency, click its checkbox on the left of the currency name.

Clear the mark to disable it.

Adjust exchange rates

Top

To adjust exchange rates of your active currencies, click on the "Adjust Exchange Rates" tab.

To set the currency exchange rates, enter currency value in the appropriate field. For instance, if one Canadian Dollar is worth 1.0212 US Dollars, enter this value and click Save to set the rates.

Set the base currency

Top

The base currency is used as the main currency of your system. All the other currency rates are calculated in respect with the base currency. If you want to change the base currency, click the "Set as base currency" link under the currency name.

Note: Once you change the base currency all prices have to be recalculated and re-set for all the products.

Price formatting

Top

To express the type of money you can set special currency symbols ("$", etc.), which will be displayed in your store with a particular price. To set price formatting:

  1. Click the currency's pen icon.
  2. In the Price Formatting you can enter the prefix and suffix that will be displayed with the price.
  3. Click Save to set formatting.

Reorder currencies

Top

Reordering currencies determines how the active currencies are displayed to your customers in the currency switching menu. To set the appropriate currency order, click on the currency and drag it up or down.

Delete

Top

To delete a currency, click the delete icon.

  • The Getting Started Series has a very specific tepatmle and follows the similar for Dummies format. The author really shines in his tenor and script as well as his organization and dissemination within the framework but adds more depth than standard books in either series; they sometimes lack flow and cohesiveness. Some warnings: he has a large subject matter to cover and it is not one that should be learned from one author or book. In the same subject matter I highly recommend to supplement Forex Training with the educational online course at [...], it's free, incredibly extensive and excellent, save for continuously selecting the next course, a downloadable complete .PDF file of the course would have been nice instead of the sole web based navigation. This book works well as the replacement to having that course in a text format. This book strengths are its currency and applicability to the latest in platforms, brokerages, some web sites, and providing the background of many of the exchanges. The charts cut to the chase on pip pricing, Risk/reward ratios, and position sizing. Stop losses and Taking profit points are stressed as well. Weaknesses:For a true beginner student, I would recommend delving much deeper into fundamental and technical studies in other texts, this edition makes some excellent recommendations for those studies. Including John Murphy's Financial Analysis of the Technical Markets, which I feel is the one book any trader worth his/her salt should have. Conclusion:I haven't found a better book for currency traders in their larva stage and as one of prepubescent traders I enjoyed reading it and learned a great deal.
