Configuration
Configuration settings allow you to manage various store parameters to adjust your store as needed. Settings are divided into several groups. You can access particular settings by clicking the link below.
Main Settings
- Store name - the store name is displayed in your storefront and is seen by your customers.
Home Page
Top
- Number of news entries to display - defines how many news entries are displayed in the home page.
- Display manufacturer filters - mark the checkbox to enable manufacturer filters.
- Display price filters - tick the box to show price filters in the home page.
Note: You can manage price filters in the "Product Filters" section.
Category Pages
Top
- Number of products per category page - the number of products displayed in a product list page.
- Allow sort parameters - mark the parameters, by which users will be able to sort products.
- Default product sort order - click the drop-down list and select the default sorting parameter.
- Display the number of products per category - enables the number of products to be displayed with a category.
- Category page filters - here you can define the way category page filters are displayed.
Product Page
Top
- Inventory status - set what messages should be displayed in product details page.
- Low-stock warning threshold (number of items left in stock) - a limit that indicates low stock.
Product Filters
Top
- Max number of filter criteria to display without expanding - defines how many filtering options are available per one filter without expanding all possible criteria.
- Price filters - there is only one price filter, which is used for all categories. Fill out the following fields to define a filter criterion:
- Filter Name - the name of the criterion (for example, "0 to 24.99")
- Price From - the bottom line of the price.
- Price To - the max price value.
User Accounts
Top
- Number of recent orders to display in user account homepage.
- Number of orders per page - defines how many orders are displayed in one page.
Images
Top
You can define image sizes of your products and categories. All the uploaded images will be resized according to preset image sizes. You can also set image quality, which affects the size of the image (the better the quality the bigger the size). The following image sizes can be defined:
- Product page thumbnail;
- Product list thumbnail;
- Product page image;
- Enlarged product page image;
- Category images:
- Small images - images that are displayed in a product details page.
- Thumbnail images are displayed in the product list page.
- Medium images are displayed when customers click the small image in the product details page.
Inventory Tracking
Top
Inventory tracking can be set to the following states:
- Don't track inventory at all.
- Track inventory, and don't display products that are out of stock.
- Track inventory, but allow back-ordering products even they are out of stock.
Customers
Top
- Require customers to enter phone number on registration - mark the checkbox to enable.
- Enabled countries - select from which countries customers will be able to register.
Orders
Top
Here you can set parameters in regard with ordering:
- Minimum order total;
- Maximum order total;
- Minimum quantity of products per order;
- Maximum quantity of products per order;
- Enable whishlists.
Payment Methods
Top
- Enable credit card payments - accept credit card payments;
- Require Card Verification Code (CVV) to be entered;
- Only authorize payments without capturing them automatically;
- Credit card handler - here you can select the credit handlers:
- Auhorize.net;
- PayPal Direct Payment;
- Test Credit Card - for testing and demo purposes.
- Enabled Express Checkout Payment Options;
- Enabled Payment Options.
Note: Besides the payment methods currently installed in LiveCart, you can always plug-in additional processors. See Developers Manual for more information.
Shipping Methods
Top
In this section you can to define your store location and set real-time shipping handlers.
- Store location address is used for shipping calculation (from your store to customers address).
- Default customer address - default country is used in user registration form.
- Enabled shipping handlers - mark which shipping handlers are available for shipping goods.
Note: More real-time shipping rates can be easily plugged-in by providing the necessary handler. See Developers Manual for more information.
Email
Top
Emails can be used to reference various notifications.
- Notify store administrator by e-mail when - choose triggering actions and e-mail address where notifications are to be sent.
- Send e-mail message to customers when - select when to notify users about a particular action and an outgoing e-mail address.
- E-mail delivery method - select the delivery type:
- PHP Mail - native method of sending email, which is compatible with most servers
- SMTP protocol
Security
Top
For better security you can enable SSL protocols to use for your pages.
- Use HTTPS URLs for - select which pages will support HTTPS.
Back-end Administration
Top
- Generate SKU automatically - forces SKU to be created automatically when adding a new product.
- Default product type - click a drop-down list to select a default product type.
- Language and Template management - select which back-end files will be available for editing.
