Products

To start selling goods in your e-store, you have to stock up your system with some products. LiveCart offers you tools that will help you add and manage your products quickly and simply. As in most e-stores the products are arranged by categories.

Add new product

Note: Because some products require different attributes (number of pages or ISBN code for books, screen size for TVs, or other), you have to define appropriate attributes before adding products.

To create a new product:

1. Select existing category in the category tree.
2. Go to the "Products" tab.
3. Click the "Add new Product" link.

4. Add new product form opens. Fill out the form by supplying necessary fields. See field specifications for more details.

View and sort products

Viewing products is simple. Once you select a category in the category tree, products are displayed under the "Products" tab.

By default, products are displayed in the order they were added to your store (newest first, oldest - last).

Sorting products

LiveCart allows you to sort products almost by any attribute: SKU, name, manufacturer, price, stock, status, etc.

• To sort products, hover your mouse cursor over the desired attribute and click once. Arrow up indicates that data is sorted in ascending order.

You can also change columns that are displayed in the products table. To do that:

You can search for products almost by any attribute. To find products:

1. Select category in the category tree.
2. Click an attribute to activate search field.

3. Supply search criteria and press Enter.
Only the products that match your criteria will remain.

You can as well use logical operators to customize your search. Click the magnifying glass icon to select an appropriate operator. For example, if you want to find products that cost less than 500, select < Less than operator, enter "500" in the price field and press Enter.

Manage products

You can quickly manage products by using multiple edit tool, which allows you to manage your products and edit most of their attributes by applying changes to several products at once.

1. Select one or more products by marking a checkbox on the left.

2. Select an action from the list.

3. Click the "Save" button to process the action.

Here is a full set of actions which can be applied:

• Enable
• Disable
• Move to other category
• Delete
• Set manufacturer
• Set keywords
• Set website address
• Add related Product
• Set as featured product
• Unset featured product

• Increase price
• Increase stock
• Set minimum order quantity
• Set shipping surcharge

To edit a single product, click the product name link in the list.

Product page opens where you can edit all the product's properties.
